As cosmetic industry advances on researches of technological formulations, which include actives of cutting-edge with specific benefits, more the packaging supply industry has been unfolding to develop jars, lids, dispensers and actuators with technologies equally impacting technologies to adequately protect these formulations and deliver the product with all its properties intact. Lets consider these few examples:
Avene (Pierre Farbros) brought to the country last week, the Tolérance extrême, a product to moisturize and soothe sensitive skin, with a packing 100% free of contamination.
According to the company, it was necessary more than eight years of research to develop the system DEFI (Device Exclusive Formula Intact), a sealing system sterile packaging, patented by Avene Dermatological Laboratories, which enables to keep a formula sterile, absolutely intact, protected from germs and bacteria throughout the life of the product .
A tube has been specially fabricated to adapt itself to the new system capsule D.E.F.I. These two parts - the tube and capsule - have a perfect fit and guarantees a complete seal.
The capsule D.E.F.I. consists of four parts, including a flexible membrane that rises when the tube is pressed and returns to the place where the pressure is removed. They are high precision parts, manufactured with tolerances of hundredths of a millimeter, which the company says, ensures a perfect cohesion to the whole.
Throughout the different stages of assembly of the capsule, tests are conducted to verify the perfect seal. In the end, the cap is adjusted to perfection on the capsule - without free spans - and it is added a clip is inviolable, to be removed only on the first use of the tube.
The actuator Cocoon, by Aptar, is specially conceived in PP (Polypropylene), for the liquid products of skin care and makeup foundations. It is designed to provide protective packaging products for skin care.
Protected from outer pollution in its packaging, creams and make-up remains intact and does not dry out between uses. Before and after each use, the actuator Cocoon remains tightly sealed. It does not open until it is been under cream pressure.
Used with the ultra-lightweight pump Evolution, developed especially for viscous products, the Cocoon actuator is attractive, has a smooth, soft touch. It was used in almost the entire line of PuraInova: "The product does not remain in the nozzle actuator, thus preventing dryness. It really only opens when pressed to dispense the dosage, attests Paulo Renato Cordeiro, responsible for packaging the PuraInova. "
The pressurized container without gas propellant, of 360 ° continuous spray, Bag-Valve-on, also manufactured by Aptar and products and already available in some brands in the country (Natura Fotoequilíbrio, Johnson´s Sundown and Acqua PuraInova) ensures the purity of the product, keeping it separate from the propellant. The design uses fast-fill compressed air or nitrogen out of the bag to the dispensing being environmentally friendly. It allows continuous spray, suitable for a wide variety of applications.
The company also developed the line Eden, of airless actuator, recyclable, eco certified, with five options, including two compact jar (50 and 100ml), launched at the end of last year but still little known, in which the concept of the a pot in which the actuator is activated and only one dosage of the product is released through a membrane on top of the piece, which deposit the product in a kind of bed in semi-circle avoiding the contact of fingers directly with the product inside the container. This membrane is similar to the actuator Coccon used in bombs Purinova line items and stays in the site of product output, which avoids the stopping of product in the beak, causing its oxidation.
The Albea, packaging company based in France, developed a body care applicator called Ellips Triball. The 50mm diameter tube features a massaging and cooling applicator which is said to allow a formula to penetrate quickly and effectively into target areas of the skin. It is available with stainless steel or plastic balls, and features an on/ off system which enables controlled dispensing without wasting the formula.
C-Pack, a company from Santa Catarina, has developed a tube roll-on which is anti-microbial and biodegradable, to eliminate in 99% the harmful effects of microbes, according to expert opinion provided by specialized laboratory Engequímica. Its technology presents silver particles fixed in a ceramic matrix, invisible to the human eye, which does not allow the reproduction of bacteria in all parts of the tube, including the cover. It can be applied to the pharmaceutical area, but can also be used for cosmetics.
The company also developed the Dispenser Tube, a union of flexible tubes with vavulated applicators, whose main function is to prevent air contact with the packed product. The applicator tube does not allow the return of air into the container after the dosage of the product. It works on various product formulations since it has several nozzles and valve applicators and for counting with valves with or without contact with metal parts. It enables easy use of the tube, accurate dosing and extending the life of the bottled product.
